Download macOS Sierra

Install the macOS installer

  • The first step is to open the Network Preferences on your Mac. To do so hover over to the WiFi logo at the top right corner on your macOS Taskbar.
  • As you can see from the above screenshot, There’s an option to open ” Network Preferences “. Click on that or else there’s another option to open the settings.
  • All you’ve to do is open up Spotlight using ” Action + SpaceBar ” Key and then type ” Network Preferences ” or simply ask ” Siri ” to open them for you.
  • Once you’re in the ” Network Preferences ” select the WiFi section among all the Network Interfaces that you see in the whole section.
  • From here you can check the status of your current WiFi State, Whether it is connected? not connected? As we’re here to forget our previous saved WiFi Password to our Network, Obviously we’ll be an not connected state.
  • Moving on, Click on the Advanced section and here you’ll find all your saved WiFi Networks. Highlight the one which you’re willing to forget and then click the ” – ” as shown in the below screenshot.
  • Once you’ve done that, You can again connect to the same network with an updated password and the advantage of surfing the Internet wirelessly.

Conclusion

I normally like to troll my neighbors with hilarious WiFi Names configured in my router. Apart from me, no one knows the password but still, I like to show them Weird SSID’s when they search for open WiFi Networks.

This habit of mine makes me change the Network name and password for those networks too often and I don’t want my Mac remembering all those past Networks.
